Haidoli - The R.O.K. Navy's official Mascot
The naval mascot Haidoli was designed to display the R.O.K. Navy's vision to open up the new millennia and to convey a friendly, approachable image towards the Korean people. Haidoli is an anthropomorphic dolphin and was adopted by the R.O.K. Navy as the animal is considered to be representative of the Ocean, the image of a gentleman. Its intelligence is also thought to be a good metaphor for the Navy itself. Haidoli is colored in blue and white, which are colors that represent the Navy. Many variations of Haidoli in different poses were designed to be printed and distributed on educational texts and other literature. Nevertheless, adopting the varied versions of Haidoli as the main image is not recommended, as it could spark confusion among people identifying the original version.
